Your PTO

Wilkinson Early Childhood Center Parent Teacher Organization is an important link between the school community and our families. We host periodic PTO meetings, provide a forum for parent communication, organize fundraisers, encourage volunteerism and support school administration. By building parent involvement, encouraging open and honest communication, and facilitating social gatherings we hope to create a close-knit Wilkie community and a positive environment for our children.

Our goal this year is to increase PTO participation. Parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. When the school and parents are involved cooperatively, positive results occur. These include high student achievement, reduced absenteeism, improved behavior, and a feeling of confidence regarding the partnership between home and school. These are just a few reasons why PTO Membership is very important to our school.

Membership is open to all parents, grandparents and guardians. There are no membership fees or dues required. We only ask that parents attend PTO meetings and/or volunteer at various events during the year. Whether you are a working parent or stay at home parent, if you can give a little time or a lot, we want everyone to be a part of the PTO. Your participation really makes a difference at Wilkinson and by working together we can continue to foster a positive school community.

Tax Deductible Donations

Donations made to the Wilkinson PTO through St Louis Public Schools Foundation are tax deductible. Please make sure that your check's memo says "Wilkinson PTO" so that your donation is correctly debited to our account.
